FAQs About Interviewing Logistics →

How can I track my application?

We host our jobs with Greenhouse, and they have provided the ability for you to track your applications when you apply via MyGreenhouse. You may use this to track your application status.

If I applied before and didn't get selected, can I re-apply?

Yes! We regularly update our Career site and encourage you to look for other roles that may fit your skills, interest, and experience.

Are you conducting interviews in the offices right now?

Yes, we are currently conducting interviews both remotely and in office depending on the nature of the position.

What if I need to reschedule an interview?

Please reach out to the Recruiting Coordinator you worked with to reschedule the interview. Whenever possible, please try to give our team as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule.

How long will it take to receive feedback from my interview?

Our goal is to collect and deliver feedback from the team as quickly as possible after your last interview. Based on the business circumstances, this is most often between two days to one week. If you haven’t heard from your recruiter within a week of your final interview, please feel free to reach out to them for an update.

I was asked to complete an AI interview, what is it and what can I expect?

Talent Llama is our AI Interviewer for high-volume roles. It is used to gather information for clearer decision-making with many applications and allows you to showcase qualifications beyond your resume. For Operations and Member-facing roles, it also provides job information to help you decide if you wish to move forward. If you have technical issues, please reach out to our team at life@sofi.org.

Will the interview be recorded?

Yes! Our interviews are recorded using brighthire.ai, an AI interview recording tool that will summarize interview conversations. As part of our effort to eliminate unconscious bias from the recruiting process, we encourage our interviewers to focus more on your conversation than taking notes by relying on brighthire.ai to do the note taking for us. See here for brighthire.ai FAQs.

I do not want my interview to be recorded, can I opt out?

Yes. If you’re uncomfortable with your interview being recorded, please let us know here or at the start of your interview and we can opt you out of a recorded interview. *Please note: you must opt out with the email address associated with your SoFi application.

FAQs About
SoFi Culture →

What does “SoFi” stand for?

Pronounced as /SOH-fye/, SoFi is short for Social Finance. We believe in the power of socializing finance, empowering everyone to talk about money, so we can all learn from each other and celebrate the journey to becoming financially independent together. Hence our name, SoFi!

What is SoFi’s mission?

SoFi’s mission is to help people achieve financial independence to realize their ambitions. And financial independence doesn’t just mean being rich—it means getting to a point where your money works for the life you want to live. Everything we do is geared toward helping our members get their money right. We’re constantly innovating and building ways to give our members what they need to make that happen.

What is the SoFi Way?

We were built for one mission: help people achieve financial independence so they can realize their ambitions.

Redefining an entire industry isn’t easy work—and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of team. People with diverse perspectives and expertise, united by a common sense of purpose. People willing to challenge assumptions but always do the right thing. People proving that innovation and responsibility don’t have to compete, but can come together to create something truly unconventional in the world.

For the last eight years, we’ve been charting this new path forward. We call it The SoFi Way.

At SoFi, we don’t just talk about culture: we live it. The SoFi Way is how we show up every day, how we make decisions, and how we build for our members, clients, and each other.

What makes SoFi different from other Fintech companies?

A few things!
  1. We’re deeply committed to our mission - to help people reach financial independence to realize their ambitions. Financial insecurity is the #1 source of anxiety and stress in the United States, so helping people get their money right is our north star.
  2. We have an incredibly comprehensive product suite that is mobile-first where our members can borrow, save, spend, earn, invest & protect their money all in one app!  Learn more about how SoFi products work here.

What is different now that SoFi acquired Galileo Financial Technologies (referred to internally as Galileo”)?

In April of 2020, SoFi acquired Galileo, a powerful financial services API and payments platform. With the addition of Galileo, SoFi strengthens its capabilities, rounding out its best-in-class technology ecosystem, and Galileo and SoFi will work together to accelerate the pace of technology innovation to offer Galileo’s partners, and subsequently consumers everywhere, even more value.

While internally the two companies use the same benefits and tools, Galileo is B2B and powers world-leading fintechs, financial services and investment firms by removing the complexity of payments to make it fast and easy for businesses of every type and size to innovate and deliver amazing user experiences to their customers.
